As part of its contribution to Wimborne Town of Culture 2026, Planet Wimborne is developing a series of themed town trails. First up this year is the Wimborne Music Trail – a walking trail around the town, celebrating our local musicians, events and venues, and including some tips on how to enjoy music sustainably. The Music Trail will be launched on Saturday 31st January at 4 pm in Square Records, Wimborne, where local folk musician Dorset Phil will be playing some of his wonderful songs.

Wessex Water and Bournemouth Water invite you to a Drop-in Session at Wimborne Library, Monday 29th June, 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 2pm.
Wessex Water and Bournemouth Water are continuing their face-to-face sessions in 2026 to give their customers the opportunity to speak with them face to face, about anything water-related—whether it’s bills, supply, wastewater, saving water, preventing blockages or support for those struggling with payments. We will be on hand to offer advice and explain the help available.
Dorset Council has launched a survey to find out the views of residents on improving walking, cycling and wheeling in the county. Planet Wimborne encourages everybody to respond to the survey to let the Council know how important it is to support active travel.
You can find the survey at https://www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/news/have-your-say-on-improving-routes-for-walking-cycling-and-wheeling and it is open until 18 January 2024.
The 2023 Green Festival has been hailed a great success by the organisers. The aims of the festival were to engage with as many people as possible from as wide a background as possible, with a particular focus on young people and local businesses. With this in mind, the packed week long programme had something for everybody.
Planet Wimborne is proud to announce the publication of an all new trail for the town. The trail is partially fully accessible and can be extended to take in other areas of the town. There are links to 'green' themed videos, web sites, music and poetry to enhance people's enjoyment and experience of the natural world.
